#49 Amasae /post-rock/

It's one of those really melancholic nights, where post-rock is all I can listen to. Sleep seems so desired right now and yet... I just can't close my eyes. All this stupid questions that come to my mind for God knows what reason. I wonder why they always say that disappointment is bitter, sometimes you can just embrace it as a ... moment for seeing the truth? Or the people who think the second are just comforting themselves? And what's gonna happen tomorrow? Is there faith or it's all a mere coincidence?

Maybe I am biased, but there is so much beauty in that music, especially in moments like this. I just wish  I wasn't in my room, I wish I was outside in the nature...waiting for the sunrise and the red sparrows...

#48 Say Anything /indie, pop/

So it's Friday. One hour before the start of my working shift. Six hours before the weekly Friday party and three days before my presentation. No idea where I'm trying to go with that, so I better just drop it off. My point is that I think I should post some a bit cheerful music. A friend of mine sent me this Romanian band..which I can describe as a mixture between some indie band and... electro pop? Well, thats just the way I feel it so - enjoy the Les Elephant Bizarres - Hello!

The next band I came across, watching Scrubs. I do sense the indie sound (a bit) so.. I guess I can just put it out there for you.. Say Anything - Alive with the glory of love (it is quite awesome song..despite the intro).

The last song.. oh, fuck it - sounds cheerful and I dig the name of the band! You, Me and Everyone we Know - I can get back up now. Actually, I just found them like 5 minutes ago, but on the second listening - its nice song!

Enjoy your weekend!

#47 Photosynthesis /ambient/

Dear..umm whoever is reading that, I had zero desire to write today, but actually I think I would like to express my thoughts about something, which is happening around me. Something which I can experience first hand. If you don't want to get bored to death - please just skip to the songs at the end of the post ;)

As some of you may know the people of Spain are protesting for the past couple of weeks. I will not go into details why they protest or to what extend they have a clear view of what is wrong, what caused the problems or how this can be actually fix. I just want to express my positive feeling about these young people (some of which I am lucky to know in person) and their willingness to change what they feel is wrong. I was quite surprise how they manage to sustain a peaceful, respectful and yet quite effective protests. I am glad that my generation have matured enough to stand up and be the backbone of the society. Because yesterdays teenagers are today's adults and I am glad I can be a little part of this.

....and we finally came to the main point of this blog - enjoy the songs! Some sort of ambient, electronic and chillout mix... I guess.. Boards of Canada - Chromakey Dreamcoat, Aphex Twin - Flim and Carbon Based Lifeforms - Photosynthesis

#46 She is /alternative rock/

Hey, I don't think I have anything significant to say which I can fit in a couple of sentences so I guess it would be better to keep it short. Frankly said, lately it seems hard to group the songs in posts but I hope will be able to resolve that problem. I came across the first song I would like to present, while watching "Scrubs" and it is The Fray - She is.

Another song, which is more or less in the same direction..which I also found cause of Scrubs - Dashboard Confessional - Stolen. Some might label it as cheesy, but I love it.

So.. Anberlin - Paperthin hymn. Good night.

#45 Dengue Fever /mix/

Hey, so... the thing is that yesterday I had the chance to attend an amazing lecture by the CEO of a big, big rrreaaally big international company (the name is not relevant right now). What really stuck in my mind was just one thing - he said that passion is what makes a difference. And while saying that for God knows what reason I was thinking about this blog. And I do plan to make it bigger and better. Don't know when and how, but I know I'm going there.

Anyhow, I raped the shit out of the replay button of the next song. It is by a Cambodian band and .. well I love it! I hereby present you - Dengue Fever - Uku

Didn't really came up with anything similar to that song right now so I'm gonna post two other songs that reign my playlist. Fever Ray - When I grow up and dredg - Ireland

#44 A thousand lights /electro, techno/

It's a... umm gloomy monday morning so I need to load up with some positivism and energy, although my "working" week ends tomorrow. Yeah, lucky me... By the way the music I'm gonna post is really, really, oh my god - really good background for thesis writing!

It's a live from Foo Fighters and seriously - it is MOVING! I get the chills.... the song (My hero) means a lot. The whole Skin and Bones live is... just a high class musicanship and I tip my hat to those guys!

Foo Fighters - My hero (live)

Foo Fighters - Everlong (live)

Foo Fighters - Times like these (live)

..you can find the whole DVD on youtube.

#41 Rich /electro pop/

Okay, so I was wondering what to post next and I had my doubts between something electronic or something light and poppy... soo I remembered a song from a QuickSilver video promotion - We are enfant terrible - Snap Dragon. I'm not quite sure what genre is that, but for me it qualifies as electro pop?

The other songs I chose are... I just realized I think those songs sound really sexy and a bit dirty, if I can describe them. Especially the next one.

Yeah yeah yeahs - Rich

...and The naked and famous - Girls like you

#40 Lazy eye /alternative/

I don't know why I feel like dedicating the full post of today only to one band. Although it will not happen, I think the band I was thinking of deserves very special attention - Silversun Pickups. I think when indie rock had sex with alternative and at the very end of the act the shoegaze/postrockish thing joined. So yeah, its a good mixture! Even their pictures screams "awesomeness"! I really highly recommending their whole discography and I promise I will post more songs of them. For now enjoy those - Substition and Lazy Eye

Next band is a bit similar (they got female sounding vox rofl), but actually I really enjoyed them live - Coheed and Cambria - A favour house Atlantic

So, enjoy your Sunday or whatever day is there for you. Last track - the pure classic The Smashing Pumpkins - Perfect.
